Precautions to be Taken in Weddings and Weddings during the COVID-19 Process

Then, the rules for the events to be held throughout the process were determined with the wedding circular issued by the Ministry of Interior on June 24.Weddings have started with wearing mask, distance and the cleaning rules properly, without dancing and hugging. The compliance of the venues and couples with these rules will also be monitored under the latest circular issued by the Ministry of Interior.

What are the Precautions to will be taken at Weddings?

The legislative provisions of the Ministry of Interior that allow the activities of the venues to be used for wedding ceremonies and the measures taken in addition to the measures regarding occupational health and safety are as follows:

  • Weddings will be organized outdoor and the time will be reduced the risk of infection.
  • The destination plan will be prepared according to general usage areas and seating plan by the operators of wedding venues. The guest capacity of the wedding venue will be determined according to the distance plan. A suitable number of guests will be accepted for this capacity and the capacity information will be posted in a visible place at the entrance of the wedding venue. In the prepared plan, place markings that help ensure the distance will be made at the entrances of the place and at every point where rows may occur.
  • Information posters will be hung at the entrances of the venues where the wedding will take place and in suitable places with other rules that must be followed such as cleaning, mask and distance rules.
  • Fever measurements of the guests will be made at the entrances. People with a higher temperature than 38 °C will be directed to the nearest health institution. Fever-measuring staff / responsible will use medical masks and face protection.
  • Hand sanitizer or disinfectant will be available at the entrance of wedding venues or common use areas (main saloon, entrance, canteen, restroom, etc.). In order to reduce the contact as much as possible, they will be photocell if possible, and the guests will enter their hands after they have cleaned their hands with a disinfectant / hand antiseptic.
  • A sufficient number of cologne or hand sanitizers with at least 70% of alcohol will be available on each table.
  • Masks will be worn in the venues where weddings will be held, and sufficient masks will be kept at the entrances by the business owners. Masks will be distributed to guests without masks at the entrance. In addition, the masks will be worn during the wedding process (including the bride, groom, registrar and witnesses).
  • For areas such as bride and groom waiting rooms, areas with natural ventilation (with windows) will be preferred if possible.

  • People's numbers will be reduced who will use the elevator; people that are 1/3 of the elevator capacity will be allowed to get on the elevator. Distances between people who get on the elevator have to determine with signing as a 1m.

Venues That Can Be Held a Wedding

  1. Wedding That Will Be Held Indoor: There will be a break at least 1 hour for healthy ventilation of the venue that will be held indoor weddings. During this period, natural air circulation will be provided by opening doors/windows or central systems according to the conditions. Kid play gardens will not use in indoor venues that will be wedding.

  2. Weddings That Will Be Held in Place as Outdoor / Countryside / Garden etc.: Kid play gardens that will be outdoor venues will always be cleaned and disinfection will be provided. Hand sanitizer will be kept in accessible areas. There will be not activities that is requiring close contact from 1 meter due to increasing the infection risk of coronavirus (COVID-19).
  3. Village / Street Weddings: While wedding owners inform about wedding will be organized, these circular provisions will be disclosed. Cleaning, Disinfection and Ventilation of Environment

  • Daily cleaning will be applied at the wedding venues and these venues will be ventilated regularly.
  • Cleaning of wedding venues will be paid attention regularly, especially the most touchable areas.
  • The personnel who cleans the venue wears a mask and gown.
  • The entrance door of the public toilets will be arranged as an automatic door system if possible, and if not arranged, the entrance doors will be kept open by placing a screen appropriately. In addition, liquid soap, toilet paper, paper towels and trash cans will be kept in the toilets at all times, and taps and liquid soap units will be provided with photocells, if possible, in order to reduce contact as much as possible. Precautions for Personnel Working in Wedding Venues

    • Personnel will be informed about the getting infection of COVID-19 and protection from it.
    • Hand disinfection or antiseptic will be available at the entrance of the personnel.
    • Body temperature measurements at the entrance/exit of the personnel will be made with thermal sensors or non-contact thermometers and these data will be recorded daily and kept for at least 14 days. In addition, the information will be obtained from the personnel in this context so that the people whom the staff lives with can be monitored in terms of coronavirus (COVID-19).
    • Personnel who has fever, cough, runny nose, respiratory distress symptoms be directed the health institution to make a test of COVID-19.
  • There have to be funded enough protective equipment for staff who work in the wedding venue. All staff has to use protective equipments that are necessary in the place such as mask, gown, face protector etc. (When the mask gets dirty or moisten, it will change. Care will be taken to clean hands while wearing the new mask.)
  • Clothes of the staff are cleaned daily.
  • Staff will be constantly warned to pay attention to hand hygiene. (In order to ensure hand hygiene, it will be based on the fact that hands will be washed with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and alcohol-based hand sanitizer will be used in the absence of water and soap.)
  • By arranging the toilet, resting, common dining and social areas of the staff in the wedding venues according to the distance conditions (if necessary, landmarks, lanes, barriers, etc. arrangements will be made), the capacity of these areas will be determined and the personnel will be allowed to use them in accordance with the determined capacity.   • If the staff experiences the symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in themselves or in those whom they live with, they will notify the business manager immediately.
  • Coronavirus (COVID-19) test will be performed by the management of the wedding venue in certain periods and in the presence of any suspicious situation (high fever, coughing, shortness of breath, loss of sense of smell, weakness, etc.). The results will be recorded and kept, the test result is positive or the test result is followed up due to contact with a positive test result, the test result is positive but the 14-day follow-up period does not exceed the last negative test result, and the test result is suspicious because their partners are in a suspicious situation. Personnel will not be allowed to work until the test result is obtained.
