Indian weddings consist of 3 parts. First part consist of wedding preparations and the party which is held the day before wedding. The aim of this party is for bride and groom's relatives to know each other better.
Henna is applied to bride's hands and feet. This henna called mehndi. In this function, special songs are sung and everybody dances. The second function is wedding. On wedding day groom's feet are washed and milk and honey are served to the groom. Bride wears a special dress called sari instead of the white wedding dress we all know.
